I loved taking photos in the rock pools around Falmouth on the south coast of Cornwall, especially on this beach where there were mussels in their thousands on just one rock. I liked focusing on just small clusters of mussels and other coastal organisms, often with a shallow depth of field to focus on just a few. It’s interesting how it seems like the barnacles on the rocks almost seem to engulf the other organisms, such as growing on the limpets, making the rock pool organisms seem stoic, living through all the wet weather and the tide rising over them twice a day.
