Swallows Coming in to Land
It is only on the brightest days and when the sun is high enough that I am able to take photos with such a fast shutter speed. I was determined to capture the moment that swallows at Tresco's Great Pool in the Isles of Scilly come in to land on the reeds, after having captured their insect prey on the wing. The shots that came out show a lot of detail of a high speed behaviour, but at the expense of composition and brightness.
A blog of my ideas, photography and research of the natural world.
